Love how you're saying the reflection of the camera in the glasses would not be an issue in the subsequent shots, accompanied by a close up, direct shot with the reflective glasses where there would most definitely be a camera reflection visible. Well done.

Ummm, considering Johnny Depp spent ALL of his screen time in all of the Pirate's movies with a red bandanna covering his forehead, it wouldn't make much sense to put the brand on his forehead because you'd never see it. hence, it's on his arm where it can be seen.

There's a reason why the T-Rex had three fingers in the original King Kong. At the time it was thought T-Rex had three fingers due to a set of bones being mistaken for a third finger. It wasn't until 1990 when new fossil records showed this to be in error, long after the film was made.

It's also really fun to watch Dorothy's curls constantly change length during the "If I Only Had a Brain" scene. This was due to the fact that the scene was shot several times over the course of several months -- with some reshoots happening long after principle photography had wrapped, Garland had cut her hair, and moved on to other projects. The curls show three lengths throughout the scene: super-long, mid-length, and super-short.

when i was a kid we had a tarzan action figure that was based on the fight scene with the leopard, you had tarzan, a spear for tarzan, and the leopard. it was cool because the leopard had this sponge thing on its paw that you were supposed to wet and then wipe across tarzans chest which would make the scars appear, which would then slowly disappear as it dried. cool toy, wish i still had it

These are not intentional "mistakes". These are just workarounds for either boring or plot-stopping realities. An intentional "mistake" for example would be having a character's clothing/appearance change in a subtle way during a scene that looks like a continuity error, but it really is used to showcase a character that has D.I.D. or something. These examples just seem like a director needing to tell a story and just altering reality to do it. "Falling from the sky w/o a parachute will kill you in real life, but they knew the story would end if the character died. So the director intentionally shot it so he survived." - This entire video

POI (Point of Information) regarding Titanic. When they fire the rockets up signalling for help to other ships (the rockets are portrayed as white) apprently the rockets were originally Multi-coloured in 1912, but the film makers decided to make them white because they thought that the audience would not believe they were multi-coloured. Factoid for the day for anyone who cares! :)

Nice Guys... check out the imdb goofs... Everything Shane Black put in there as weapons, commercial products and references is out of date... Also I think I read somewhere that the bullets fired are always a bit more than they have to be before reloading... After watching the film, I just shuffled through one or two goofs about mistaken years and they seemed to be added on purpose. And then I loaded the entire goofs section... 27 anachronisms... posters of movies, the 911 phone number, widescreen format... and the only way these guys could tell it's fake... the year is stated in the beginning of the movie. The plot literally has nothing to do with what year it is. So basically the director was just pissing nerds off... I can think of no other reason for this... When watching Nice Guys I didn't even know it was from the guy who made Lethal Weapon and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but when I saw these goofs I immediately changed my mind about Nice Guys... I thought it was a really fun movie, but now I really consider it an underrated masterpiece...

I don't buy that Disney moved the brand from Jack's forehead to his arm because it "would be weird". If anything this would actually add deppth (see what I did there) to the character, since he's always wearing a bandanna or some form of head-wear. It would have made more sense to put it on his forehead, cause it would give him an actual reason to keep it hidden under the hat and bandanna he's always wearing. I think the real reason they moved it was either to keep from having to place brands on other pirate characters, or to avoid any potential controversy between Pirates of the Caribbean (2003), and the extremely popular Harry Potter movie franchise (first film in 2001). I think the latter is more likely, since no other characters are shown to have brands at all (besides Beckett, as far as I can remember). Beckett also wears a wig and a hat at all times, and there is always the possibility that all other pirate characters were somehow able to avoid being caught.

Even as a massive plane geek, Dunkirk probably made the right choice, you can tell them apart from the shape of their wings too (the Bf-109 E4 had square wingtips) but it would have been a pain in the ass even for someone who knows about planes when the action is so quick, and the yellow nose is one of the most distinctive liveries from WW2. A few shots from the German cockpit with subtitled German chatter would have been nice though, the 2 planes look nothing alike from inside, even if you don't know the planes you would easily spot the differences so it would have made the scene a lot less confusing and it would have taken 2 seconds to establish that round gunsight = spitfire shooting at Bf109, square gunsight = Bf109 shooting at spitfire (and square everything really in the Bf109 lol, it was a very angular design). it was a lot less confusing than it could have been, but it still wouldn't have been too difficult to make it clearer, I mainly was able to follow the scene because I play a lot of WW2 flight sims so can recognise the planes lol

The Morpheus one could make sense anyway depending on where the light source is coming from. Even highly reflective materials might not show any reflection or gloss at all when viewed from a certain angle; so while they did it on purpose and had a reason, I don't think it's some glaring mistake in continuity given that maybe the viewer just couldn't see the glossy finish from that angle anyway so it just slips under the radar as 'plausible enough'

You’re wrong about number 2. If you watch the clip at 6:51 you can clearly see one of these ‘small signs put there to stop you sliding’ lying on the floor. It looks like it’s been knocked off by silva when he slid down the escalator.

the morpheus glasses serves for not spotting the camera but the real reason is that to show the construction loading... watch the scene again, the room is empty and after the camera rolled around morpheus there is a television and 2 chairs. the glasses also indicates that the construction rendered their bodies but hasn't rendered more complex things as reflections for example

*"You should always get your facts right first, then you can alter it to your whim." - Albert Einstein. This is true for all science-fiction/fantasy films, videogames, etc. when there are real life elements in it. They want you to trick the brain that what the spectators are seeing can be practical or possible, it suspends their disbelief so it doesn't seem farfetched. Try to get it as accurate as you can, then you can change little details to ameliorate the story and make it seem original or possible.*

Another point about Dunkirk. Mark 1 Spitfires did NOT have 'rear view' mirrors. However, the plane, and pilot represented in Dunkirk is the N3200, flown by Squadron Leader Geoffrey Stephenson. Stephenson actually took the rear view mirror out of a vehicle and had it installed in his Mark 1. To my knowledge, it was the ONLY Mark 1 to have a rearview mirror, a custom modification The Mark II and later Spitfires were built with them.

Would have been cooler on Jack’s head UNDER the bandana. And a lot of crazy things happened in Oz. There’s a figure that looks like it’s hanging and more. Makes me think of Three men and a baby with the ghostly figure in the window. And the matrix is well, the matrix. Not an accident. It’s IN the construct.

Pulp Fiction: The bullets and their placement mean they should have hit Jules and Vincent. I hate when people point this out like it's a mistake. This situation was supposed to be, as Jules points out, miraculous. "God came down here and stopped these mother fuckin' bullets." They were supposed to be dead but were spared. Jules decides to take this as a sign and leaves. Vincent ignores it and is later gunned down.

You might want to check your sources a bit. I noticed you mentioned IFL Science as a source in the Martian bit. That facebook page is well known for not exactly sticking to science anymore. Sometimes they are correct, sometimes they perpetuate myths, but the problem is that you will never know which you're getting. It was an interview, so it's a bit more believable, but given how they've cherrypicked quotes in interviews in the past 2-3 years, I wouldn't dare to bet my house on it being accurate.
